Hi:
She hasn't been reading some 18th century novel, But I can tell you this you haven't seen all the trouble something like this caused; this type of thing - split families, friends in some case the community. It led to fights, mutantlings and even murder in some cases. Remember this old saying: " Animals will fight to the death to protect their young, if you mess with them. How much more so for men, Her father expect her to make the right choice and want what best for her. You doing this; might make him or a another family member come after you and kill you for it. An your father and mother will not stop him even though they love you. In fact your own father might kill you as well. You might need the law to protect you and you might be force to leave home town for good. Even than. you might live long enough to regret it. Remember he can still persue and the worst he can do is; kill you, the worst the law can do him is lock away for the rest of his life or kill him. All because you screwed up. Even if you did marry her you still might have to live with staima of both familes saying you married her because you got her pregnant for a very long, long time and believe me when I talk about it here. I've seen my one of my friend do something like this and I've listened to the family members talk exactly like this. Do not listen the little head; use the bigger one that on your neck. Remember her family is a time bomb and she is the detentor, you abuse or don't appoach them the rightway. it will go off on you big time, and the fallout might be more than you can handle. So be very, very, very careful here

Getting married due to pregnancy won't do both of you nor your child any good. You have to get married because you love each other. I also got pregnant by my boyfriend when we were just 22 years old. We lived together. He offered marriage, but I haven't finished school yet, so I declined. I finally graduated, but we didn't get married still. We were so busy working and we're focused on providing for our children. After 8 years, my boyfriend proposed to me. We got married. I am not sorry that I got pregnant coz my children---are probably the best thing/s that ever happened to me. I'm not sorry either for not getting married right away. It is best to marry only when both of you are ready for the commitment and the responsibility...and of course, if you're very sure that you want to spend the rest of your lives together.
If right now, you think your girlfriend is thinking something absurd, then I don't think that you should be having unprotected premarital sex with her.

If you are not mature enough to wear a condom, you dam well better keep your pants on! Of course, that assumes you're a big enough man to wear a condom. You certainly don't sound grown up enough to become a father, but you will still be responsible for child support until the child is 18. And it's a large percentage of any income you make for the next 18 years.
Don't think you can get out of it either. A woman I know recently collected over 10 years worth of back child support that her ex never paid. He was found when he applied for a job which did a complete background check on him. He did not get the job, but he did get court papers.
Think about it before you climb into bed again.

Your g/f hasn't been reading any 18th century novel, she knows what she wants in her life and if that means that she wants there to be only one father to her children you can't really blame her for that. That said, if you are not ready for that kind of commitment, then use protection, and it won't be an issue.

Hey, that is the brainwashing of the 21st century talking!! If you do get her pregnant, then you owe her some kind of stability. And in the 18th century, guys a) had enough sense to not get her pregnant or b) chivalry.

she just want to make sure that if she does get pregnant ur not going to leave her alone to raise a child. its more like protection for her. look on the bright side if anything were to happen she accepts the fact that she would like to marry you. i guess u should take it as a compliment

well don't get her pregnant, some people feel this way, most likely can't change that..but pregnancy is no reason to get married both of you may be very unhappy and resentful in the end

in this day and age there are tons of different forms of birth control. i suggest the two of you head over to your nearest planned parenthood before you end up at the alter in a good old fashion shot gun wedding

You won't have to marry her, there is no law, but there is a law that you will pay child support until the child is 18 !
If she is not using birth control, you should be using a condom. or she will call you Daddy!
