Not sure what you mean by 'drink antibiotic pills'. Do you mean take any antibiotics for the cold sore? If so, I would have to say no, for the simple fact that antibiotics won't help a cold sore, unless there are signs of an infection. If so, you should see your doctor. If there are no s/s of an infection, then by treating it with an OTC (over the counter) cold sore cream may help.

Cold sores or Herpes Simplex is a virus and antibiotics do nothing for virus invasions. If antibiotics are prescribed in viral infections it has been to combat a secondary condition caused by the virus.

Use one of the proprietary cremes designed to lessen the discomfort of Herpes.

They will NOT help it. Buy some topical cream like Blistex or something specifically for a cold sore.

no. first of all, you cannot drink pills. secondly, cold sores are from the herpes virus. antibiotics cannot kill a virus. there is no cure for herpes. but your doctor can give you some cream and some cheap pills, Acyclovir.
