I would recommend getting it checked out just to be sure that nothing is wrong. But I will tell you that I have experienced similar pains and of course freaked out when they first occurred. Turns out it was just a stretched or strained muscle when my Dr. checked me out....and I hadn't even done any strenuous excessive or activity! I also get the pain sometimes randomly still in that area...I had asked several of my friends...both male and female and most had experienced similar things at one point or another. It could also be indigestion believe it or not. To be safe though, have a Dr.l check it out of it continues just for peace of mind...as you always hear that any pain in your chest should be checked out to rule out anything serious. Good luck!

That's where your stomach is located. This is also a popular place for hernias. If the pain continues, I suggest an appointment with your doctor. In the meantime, try lying on your left side, arm up under your pillow, left leg straight, right leg bent. Lying like this may relieve the pain temporarily.

If it hurts when you breath it is likely a rib problem. Best guess is a pulled rib head. They suck but can reset themselves or be put back in and then the pain goes away pretty quickly, sometimes instantly. If it isn't there when you breathe deep, laugh, or cough it is likely something else. A physical examination by a qualified professional is your best course of action.
