when you saw how God tortured this person, eating them alive from the inside out, did it make you question your faith even a little?

My Mother found out she had cancer and was dead within a week. Please don't be bitter and blame God for every negative thing.

I have watched several people die of all kinds of things, as I work in health care. God was not eating them alive, the cancer was doing the job. It is a sickness and that is just the world we live in. It doesn't not cause me to question my faith at all even a little, because I see the loving care of families and staff caring for this person and that is where I see God, in the care. God is good, even though we live in a fallen world and we all suffer sooner or later of something. You can chose to hate God and suffer and become bitter or love God and let Him help you through the pain. I am sorry if someone you loved has suffered, it is not easy, but trusting in the goodness of God has not let me down and has given me courage in the face of sickness and pain.

No. I visit nursing homes once a week and I have seen many horrible things but, I will tell you the people who died the most peacefully were the Catholics. I have even seen a woman (out of a coma) cross herself when we started to pray over her. I have seen a woman with bone cancer in her spine lay dieing with a smile on her face. The ones that DIE HARD are the ones that do not believe in Jesus as the Redeemer. You must remember God does not kill these people, their own sin does.

I am not Christian however i do believe in God
and my dad passed last year from cancer
he lived life amazingly though because he had such strength and courage that he swore he would not let this affect him till the end
in the end though he wasnt doing well with the chemo and had little fight left

so i prayed
i prayed that God would end his suffering and take him peacefully
two days later my dad died from an unrelated heart problem and with a smile on his face
coincidence or not i dont know
however
with or without God ... cancer will exist
with God i trust that i will see my dad again

Well, don't you know when sins came into the world, all kind of diseases also take root? We will ask God about it when we meet him. Meanwhile, for Christians, heaven is the place where no tears, no pains, no disease, and no death are found anymore. So they should not be afraid to go there. Now may I ask you a question, are you afraid of dying, unless you are son of God, do you wonder where you will go? Perhaps this has made you ask why good people should die of cancer or even in accidents?

There are no "good" people, all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. . But, I did watch my father die a slow death, even though I do not believe it was cancer. Also, my sister died of cancer last Feb., and she was a strong Christian. I do not understand why some people die quickly and some do not, but I accept each day as it comes, and hope that God can use me in some small way for his purposes.

Well I have not ever weatched any one speciffically die from cancer or anything else fortunately but I have known of a few people who have died of othr related sickness I myself have been close to dying yet I am for now still living, although not in true health, still I do not blame God for this because he is nor causing these thingsYes,GOD does permit wickedness, and millions on earth willfully make a practice of it. For instance, they declare wars, drop bombs on children, scorch the earth, and cause famines. Millions smoke and get lung cancer, practice adultery and get sexually transmitted diseases, use alcohol to excess and get cirrhosis of the liver, and so on. Such people do not truly want all wickedness stopped. They only want the penalties for it eliminated. When they reap what they have sown, they cry out, "Why me?" And they blame God, as Proverbs 19:3 says: "A man's own folly wrecks his life, and then he bears a grudge against the LORD." (The New English Bible) And if God stopped their evildoing, they would protest their loss of freedom to do it!
One of my Neighbors died recently from cancer related to smoking, and he did not blame God for his future death he knew he was going to die soon before he actually did die because he did know also that he brought it upon himself, it was not as you say that God tortured him eating him up alivefrom the inside out,the eating from the inside was done by this man's friend that kil;led him I mean his friend the ciggarette.and yes there is death from cancer without people being smokers that is true but again this is not God's fault or brought on by God because he wants to torture people, it is mankind who are ruining the earth and the environment on it that makes people get cancer and other types of diseases, god does not endorsce the earth being ruined and in fact in the Bible he says that he will ruin those cpeopple who are ruining the earth because it would be unfair not to for the sake of his faithful ones. If he allowed this to go on for ever, and for people to go onRuiningthe earth The Air we breather, the water we drink and the land we grow our food in on are being polluted. it is so bad that scientists keep saying that If this continues and stays unchecked, comtinued pollutionof the earth will eventually destroy the fitness of this planet as a place for human life. God will not allow this because he did not create the earth to be ruined, he did not give mankind the earth for the,m to destroy it as they are doing(Isaiah45:18) No, he has a purpose for the earth too just like he has for all his creations! But yes I have questioned my failth quite a bit but that was before I learned the real truth.

The imperfections of sin means any thing can happen to any one at any age, they had serious sicknesses in the bible that caused death. My mom, her brother, her sister, my grandchildrens father, the husband of my niece, the person I shared my home with, all to cancer.
The bible is here to tell us that as LOST we have a short life full of trouble and sorrow to death, he could have destroyed all this, then the offsprings of Adam would not be here, he could have created some one else and started over, but instead he has told us why we are here, what can happen and all the plans in place for SALVATION, to restore each soul back to life in a new heavens and a new earth that is life sustaining for the eternal life that is given to us. 1Cor.15:22-28,51-53;

I have worked in Hospice before and have watched many good people die and succumb to this dreaded disease....I am also a Christian and have never blamed God for what has occurred....it could have been many reasons for them to go through this...it may be hereditary or something in their lifestyle that contributed to the disease...we do not know....but to say God did it is not right....why do you think that...and why is it every time something bad happens it is God that did it?....He has control over ones life if they allow him too....and it does state in the Bible that we all will reap what we sow.....only God truly knows why one has cancer...but that doesn't mean He gave it to them....I personally don't believe He gives one disease......sorry you do...My Mother has died from colon cancer and I dont blame God for it....Im so grateful that she is saved and I will see her again one day....sure I miss her greatly and would love for her to be here with me...but that isnt how it is and I just never thought to blame God for it....

My grandmother died of cancer but I never met her. God does not give anyone diseases, he may have in the old testament as judgment but Jesus has made it so he doesn't have to judge us like that anymore. When a person does become sick from their way of life, their unforgiveness or whatever he will sometimes allow it for his perfect reasons. Everything he does or allows is always for our good. Sometimes he will allow people who are very hateful to suffer and die from a disease to humble them and make them a more loving person before they die. He only allows these bad things to make someone better and teach them to love and forgive others. We all have to die somehow and sometimes in painful ways but it only happens once and our spirits live on in a better place if we love God and accept Jesus as Lord.

I watched my grandpa die of lung cancer last year and it strengthened my faith. God didn't torture him, or "eat him alive from the inside out", it was the CANCER that did that. God was there for him and when the end came, God took him home.
