My son will be 4 on thursday and he gets to bring treats to his preschool class on that day. I have no clue what to make, other than the usual cupcakes. I will not buy any pre-made foods either, cuz I like to bake. If anyone can give me some ideas i'd much appreciate it.

My son's favorite thing that we took to a party was carrot cake. I didn't think he would like it, but always try to make something not chocolate for those who don't like it. We had brownies and carrot cakes, small bite size ones, and the carrot cakes were gone before the brownies were. The kids, and my picky son, really liked them. They had cream cheese icing.

first you need to see if you can bring homemade items.. second you need to see if there are peanut and other restrictions. Some preschools have a b'day program where you can pre buy a snack and a drink for this special day...

I would suggest Rice Krispy Treats or one of those giant chocolate chip cookies decorated with icing to look like a cake.

Fresh fruit plate or watermelon boat is great this time of year. Dirt cups are also good and really easy - kids love the gummi worms.

i ALWAYS make ice cream cone cupcakes, they are so fun... i buy the colored cones they come in red green and brown. then i buy the cake mix, mix as directed but instead of putting them in cup cake wrappers, you put them in the cones and bake them for the reg time. then cool them frost them and put sprinkles on, they will be a hit i promise.
