Yes, I knew this.
They have found many many ancient cities also. Ur from back in Abraham's time was one. They have found the walls of Jericho and the baths used by King David. They have found the tomb of Ciaphas who was ruler of the pharisees that brought Jesus to Pilate's!
There is many facts from the bible if one does the research! God doesn't want us to have blind faith!

Yes, many of the biblical events did happen. Alot of evidence supports the Exodus in particular. The show "The Naked Archaeologist" covers alot in that respect. I watch the History & Discovery channels that have many programs revealing the evidence proving the texts are historically accurate.
Some, like adam and eve, may actually be more of a metaphor or a moral story than actual history though.

Yeah, and Eve's talking snake lines up with world history.
And the part where Joshua commanded the sun to stand still, that does too; and so therefore we know that astronomy is false.
Let's see what else. Jesus floats upward into heaven like a gentle balloon, that lines up with world history.
He even took his clothes with him. He's the only guy in Heaven with earth clothes. He saved them as a souvenir.
Yep. All these things tell me the Bible is true.

Yes, it's been proven, as well as the predicitions with Iraq. Go back to your bible and look at all the names of the cities and the descriptions of the land...by now have all been renamed, but they are talking about the things that are going on. It's not erie, it just furthers my belief in what is written.
