I have been building clubs for about 12 years and knockoffs do perform as well as name brand clubs for the average golfer. And to top it off, they are more than 1/4 the price. You can have any brand shaft put in them you want. The MacGregor MacTec was voted best driver for 2007 at the PGA show in Orlando.

I've had a few sets of knockoffs throughout the year... i've been playing for like 8 and have had 3 sets... for the price they preform almost as well.. if you are just a once of week recreational type player then chances are you wouldn't notice any difference...
and are you talking about brand name driver or knockoff driver

Nope, poor workmanship and inferior materials. There is no best driver of 2007, there's only a best driver for you. You should go to Golfsmith, Golf Galaxy or Dick's Sporting goods and swing several drivers to see what best suits your swing.

No...inconsistency in shafts are the reason why!
Best driver: Bang-O-Matic head and accuflex shaft, fit to your swing!
