I love cold roast chicken! It's got a special flavor to it that just gets lost when the chicken is warmed up (although warm chicken is good, too).
How about hot corn soup from a packet, steamed broccoli and carrots, and then hot brownies with a scoop of ice cream on top for dessert?
If you are in the southern hemi, definitely go with cold side dishes. How about a nice jello-salad? Red jello with bits of walnut, celery and apples is a classic side dish for roast chicken or turkey. Add a green salad with some fried potatoes, and you've got quite a meal.
Roast chicken is great for leftovers, too. You can use it in casseroles, tossed in pasta, in sandwiches (hot or cold). It's a very flexible dish.
