No I don't think anything is wrong with him not giving you his house keys. Thats a big step for guys. And 9 months isn't that long. Give him some time, if you two are meant to be than maybe he will give them to you later on down the road.

Someone once told me that if a man doesn't ask you to marry him within the first year of dating, he never will.
Well I think that's crap. Every relationship has a different tempo, and yours is unique. On one hand, you two spend an awful lot of time together, so much that you practically live together after only 9 months of dating, and you feel like your home is wherever he is. On the other, he may be struggling with some issues you don't know about that prevent him from giving you a key: maybe his last girlfriend violated his trust and he's being cautious.
It's possible that he has no idea that you think it's appropriate to exchange keys, so make the first move and make a copy of your housekey for him. Tell him that you want him to know that you trust him and want him as a part of your everyday life. He'll get the cue that you want him to do the same. Be prepared to hear the reason why he hasn't felt comfortable doing so yet, though - it might not be a reason you want to hear.
Best of luck!

...a guy doesnt have to automaticly lock himself down to you if youve been together only 9 months...if he wants you to have the keys to his house then by all means he'll give them to you when he feels ready to...but dont think that just because your his girlfriend that makes it right for you to pop over any & all times that you feel the need to...if you recieve a key it sounds like youd be more prone to annoying the hell out of him from the looks of it...give him his space & with time he should make up his mind if hes ready to do something like that...

NOOOOOOO. Until the line that togetherness will lead to forever guys should NOT give their girlfriend a key to their place. It sounds like there is some issue of distrust. I would work on that before tackling the issue of the key to his place.

I think that this was a Sex in The City eppisode...Maybe he has done this a few times before and got burned and doesnt want to change the locks again. I wouldnt ask if I were you, I would wait until he offers it up when he is ready.

Heh, I'm not even involved in a relationship with a guy and I have received two sets of keys from guys. Once I was a babysitter and now I clean house. It's his house.Maybe it's a trust issue?Maybe he isn't always alone?

The answer is NO! You are just his girlfriend and nothing more, when and if you ever decide to get married then you can just ask freely for his keys to his place.

Would you like one of his kidneys too? If he wanted you to have a key, you'd already have it. Now shut up before you find yourself sleeping somewhere else next weekend...and I'm not saying this just to be mean.
