I heard nothing but good things about Easycruise. The ships that travels from Brussels to Amsterdam is more beautiful than the one in the mediterranean. Less orange, more stylish.
It seems like a really relaxed way to travel. (Not the fastest.) I think you'll meet lots of young people...
I'd like to give it a try myself.
The weather in october is quite unpredictable. Last october was beautiful and sunny. (still 20°C!) But it could rain...
In Belgium/Holland "Four Seasons in one day" isn't just a saying.

Early October it can be nice later very cold.
Normally it's best to take the train from Brussels to Amsterdam 3,40 hrs.
