He wants your unwavering, blind faith even in the face of reasonable doubt and logical contradiction.....
It begs the question.... Why? Why not just remove those reasons for doubt and he would have the faith of many more than he does now...

Remember Descartes? He's the guy with "I think, therefore I am."
He went right on to describe his "proof" for the existence of God, which was far more a logical proof than anything else, and still more an effective definition of the term God. Basically, that which is "on top" cosmically speaking is what we mean when we use the word God, and often are content to confess that we know very little about him/her/them. The more you pack into your definition, the more trouble you will have believing such an entity exists. But if you keep an open enough mind to work with a very broad definition, you will see that many things make more sense, even in the sense of logic, when one postulates a consciousness which fits some relevant use of the word God.
What we need, then, is applying logic to things which generally speaking are not the domain of logic, but recognizing that logic applied to speculation has its limits. Logic applied to poorly defined concepts can often bring up hidden paradoxes, which have their own value. Ones definitions and postulates become refined in this process. You might even say you get closer to the truth, but then we'd need a good definition for Truth, wouldn't we?

We need logic and common sense to survive in this world. If we didn't have it we wouldn't know how to cross the street without getting hit by a truck. Unfortunately some people have taken logic to the extreme, by having to analyze every little thing taking the joy out of living.

Just because God desires us to believe Him (or rather to trust Him) does not mean He has to make us idiots. God wants us to make decisions and making decisions require LOGIC.

I think he wants us to learn to use faith and not just common sense and logic when it comes to him. I think he gives sufficient evidence and we just have to believe. Nothing about him makes sense in the physical world but we must trust in him.

It is a blessing best identified as agency.
In the pre-mortal existence, we agreed that if,
we had the choice to live, believe, anything,
We would be able to recognize the truth.
The "human condition" allows us to practice
the skills we need to return to our Magnificent
Heavenly Father.

Because he wanted us to use that logic to discover him. I used to have ALLOT of questions about God, and I was downhearted in my faith because no one could answer my questions for me. I turned away from God for many years because of all the idiots, that called themselves Christian role models. But something happened in my life that forced me to search for my own answers. And I have found many of them. In fact I learn more every day that makes me more and more confident that God exist.
Do you want to know if God exist, or are you happy not knowing?
If you want to know about God and the evidence he exist please e-mail me your questions.
