Honey, this guy was only angry because he didn't get his way. He showed no respect for you and what you were feeling. But to your question, generally "get over yourself" means to consider how an action or words, etc., affect the other person and not how it affects you and your life. "Get over yourself" simply means not to be selfish and self absorbed.

LOL, LOL... He's saying that you were wrong in thinking he might try something; like you think you are hot. What is a potential date? Anyway, if that was his purpose, he got mad because you "screwed" up his plans! Maybe he felt that you thought he was a serial killer or something.
Personally, I would not go to a man's house that I did not know, and I mean know very well. But, I don't tell them that I am uncomfortable. Instead, when the plans are made, I always insist on meeting them at the theater, restaurant, etc. If they ask why, I say that it is more convenient for me.

He was offended when you said that you found it uncomfortable, he thought you meant you would not be safe or did not trust him, you are right but you should have chosen your words more carefully. A guy who would want to take his date to his house before going out is only looking for a good time.

He is a turd. Drop him. Don't try to understand him. "get over yourself" means you are too serious about yourself, but that verbage does not apply in the situation you described. So drop him. Kick him to the curb... drop him like he's hot....He probably wanted to do something wrong...or else he would NOT have insulted you for being cautious.
You are way too good for this guy. Lose the loser. You will gain from it. You are not confused... he is a jerk.

Simply saying that your fear or lack of wanting to go to his house, is unfounded and he wishes you would reconsider your decision. Howvever the decision is yours and you are entitled to it--stick to what is right for you. His get over yourself statement is not at all respectful--suggest finding a more mature man. Good luck and have fun

To me he was saying that he just asked you to the house he had no intentions with you. Like you are stuck on yourself and he didn't want you in that way.

He just wanted to get into your pants. When that backfired he was forced to make up some bs to make himself look good instead of like a jerk. I think he is playing you and you should drop him like a bad habit.

Did you not want to get busy before the movie? I think that that's what he thinks. They think differently than we do. It was the only comeback that he could think of.
