Except for people who aren't of your Religion right?

Examples:

In Numbers 25 many of the Israelites were lured by Moabite women to sacrifice to Baal. God ordered Moses to 'Take all the heads of the people and hang them up before the Lord against the sun, that the fierce anger of the Lord may be turned away from Israel.'

Another: In the book of Joshua, Joshua was commanded to ethnic cleanse cities that were promised to the promised people: 'But of the cities of these people, which the Lord thy God doth give thee for an inheritance, thou shalt save alive nothing that breatheth: But though shalt utterly destroy them; namely, the Hittites, and the Amorites, the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, the Hivites and the Jebusites; as the Lord thy God hath commanded thee.'

No I'm pretty sure God made the commandments for everyone. Did you kill someone or something?

actually the literal from the original Hebrew of the 6th commandment "לא תרצח" - "lo tirtzach" translates to "thou shalt not murder" NOT "thou shalt not kill". tirtzach refers to "illegal" killing (murder or manslaughter). you see, this way when god tells you to kill someone, it's ok! when a bunch of christians go on a crusade killing a bunch of non-christians, it's ok!

it's all about being able to justify your despicable actions in the eyes of your deity.

Ask George Bush the same question. More people were put to death under his stint as governor of Texas than any other state. And yet he votes to keep the 10 Commandments on display at a courthouse???

Get a translation that uses modern English words. The old KJV can mislead you if you don't use a very old dictionary.
The correct term is "murder". That drastically changes the meaning of the commandment, doesn't it?

I don't have a religion.

And I'm not into killing.

So... I guess there's no problem, then!

Of course. People who don't follow their religion aren't really people, are they?
