Many cats are nocturnal, but can be trained to be on your schedule. That means no naps in the day time to encourage night time sleep. Have a purrfect year.

Cats are finicky. When I had my cat she was very calm and relaxed even in the most stressful situations that I was going through. You should take your pet to the vet and see if there is a medical reason for the "insanity" and the doctor may suggest a solution. Best thing is to support the cat with a lot of attention and love.

My cat does the same thing. It runs around and bumps into this and makes all this shuffling noice.
My theory is it is just entertaining itself b/c if i go down stairs it will hide behind something and if i walk by it will go to wack me.
to reduce this pay attention to it during the day. Dangle a string around its head or infront of it so he can try and get it or if you see it naping disturb it by playing then

My cats used to do that when they were younger. They would start running all through the house chasing each other. I don't really know what causes it other than an energy burst.

Yes they like to be up all night and play. Cats are just like that. Mine is very lazy and she sleeps most of the time and eats when she is not sleeping.

My Cat does that too. She seems to be bored. Give your Cat "Cat Nip". It might work for your cat like it worked for my cat.
