Many colleges and universities require that you have completed 2 FULL semesters before any intaking of a sorority or fraternity. But, you would need to consult the university or college's handbook or contact an advisor to be certain for your particular college.

That truly depends on your school. At some schools the requirement has been stated that mo freshmen can participate in Membership Intake. Call your student life office, talk with the person who is over the NPHC at your school. The national requirements for the sorority does not state that second smester may not be inducted (see the prospective members section of the website http://www.aka1908.com/present/membership/prospectivemembers/ ). That depends on the school/chapter. Go to the interest meeting and they will tell you about the requirements.
