I am a christian..and no I would not take it because we cannot guarantee any medicine is perfect and that it will not harm us...
I would not like to be immortal on this earth amongst all the sin, cruelty and wreckage etc.
Other people will have their own opinions....as for the second part of your question..i think that the world will definitely end even IF there was medicine to make humans immortal..and I think someone involved in its production be it government etc, would make that choice regardless of who we think should have it.
Man does not have the intelligence to "create" immortality..however, for the sake of a hypothetical, humans can do nothing to fix this earth back up...there is too much irreperable damage.

I'm a Christian and I probably wouldn't take it unless I was dying or something at a young age. Our spirits are already immortal and I wouldn't want to live too long in this world if I have to be sick and grow old.

I would wait until they also came up with an 'antidote', so if a millennium later, I am SO SICK OF THIS PLACE!!! I can leave. But, I would want to take it. I think that it would be interesting. I don't think it would bother me, watching my family and friends die. I would make new ones, who would eventually die. No worries. I would definitely live life to the fullest!
I don't think there should be a limit on who can take it, religious zealots or not.
I'm a good witch! (I'm a pagan)

I'd take it in an instant. Too much of the world out there to explore without frittering it away in hopes of something after.

Ever read "Tuck Everlasting"? The moral of the story is that immortality isn't all it's cracked up to be.

I wouldn't take it because it is a sin to try to control our lifespans unnaturally. Preventing and healing illnesses is one thing, but becoming immortal is another thing entirely.
I'm a Catholic.

Sure, I would take it. Why shouldn't everyone?
I am a Christian. Unfortunately, no medicine can do that. Unfortunately, in this world people are divided.

Our souls are allready immortal, so it's a moot point.
No way would I want to wander this earth when I go somewhere a lot better! The faith of Peter and the Apostles.

No, I want to go to heaven, in heaven I will live eternally, so it's like I'm immortal, except I'm eternally happy.
