Do we ask god for things more then thanking him??? So if we really wanted a car...and then you get that car we always wanted...then get tired of it.....are we not thankful more then then just thanking him???

We don't have to ask God for anything, he knows what we have need of.

As u go through life, you learn to thank God many times during a day instead of wanting. He is not santa claus. He will provide for all your needs and wants. i would also believe you can be thankful that u are being heard.Also learn to give to others as I feel that is a way to thank God, by sharing what we have been given.

I tend to do both. It works better that way. I don't think any of the Gods are so short-sighted as to not see that circumstances change.

I don't ask God for anything!

My girlfriend calls out to him a lot when we have sex!
Especially WOO HOO SEX!!

However THERE IS NO GOD!!

Except for me!!
I'm a LOVE GOD!!!

You are absolutely right. I think I ask a lot more of God than I thank him for. Thanks for bringing that to my attention.

let me answer your question with another question. why does god need anyone to thank him if he's so omnipotent, and omniscient? he shouldn't be so petty as to require gratitude for everything. he should be better than that...
