Possible sciatic nerve pinch - runs down your spine, separates and goes down each hip & down the back of each leg to the heel.
When pinched , down stream muscles contract ( I had a 6 week charlie horse once from an L5 S1 pinch ) and often areas start getting numb from the lack of conduction down the nerve.
I saw my disc buldge on a body scan but any CAT or MRI of the lumbar hip area should give you some kind of info.
Either ask your doc (if you want insurance to pay) or go to one of the body scan places that don't need doctor referals (you pay upfront)
