Woman battles cancer to see baby grow up
A young mum who may have only a few months to live vowed today: "I'll move heaven and earth to have more time with my precious baby."
Cancer sufferer Anna Radosz could have as little as eight weeks before her body succumbs to the disease.
The only treatment available in Scotland is likely to have only a 10% chance of success.
So the 27-year-old and her partner Daniel Smajdor have embarked on a desperate race-against-time to raise money for possible life-saving treatment in the USA.
They need £10,000 for Anna to undergo pioneering genetic therapy at the world-famous Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston.
Once she is assessed, treatment could take months.
Cuddling three-month-old Oscar, Anna said: "My cancer is so advanced, I know this is my only chance. The treatment in Boston i

I'm so sorry to hear this. I do happen to know a charity in the UK that helps young parents cope with cancer. The young lady found out she had cancer only days after giving birth. She faced cancer treatments while trying to manage a newborn. Sadly she lost her battle a few years later.

I don't know if they can help you or not, but perhaps can give you advice, guidance, and support in your efforts.
Best to you.

This is obviously a con. I the first place such an operation would not cost 77,000 pounds and in the second place if the price is in pounds the asker is in England and the health service would do it free.
Notice there is no link to the article quoted starting "Woman battles cancer to see baby grow up" and I couldn't find it on a web search either.
Also they now admit that treatment is available i n Scotland and have not given any percentage comparison with the USA treatment nor have the mentioned free treatment available in other EU countries because of our membership of the EU.
Just a hard face scam attempt i think because it has no facts at all to support it.

Start by placing jars in different stores within your area, that would let you put jars in there, and put the information about it on th jars, or if you don;t like that idea, place an ad in your local newspaper and mention the story like you did here on yahoo.
Have bake sales, yard sales, car washes, concerts, talent shows to raise money. Selling doughnuts is another good way to do this as well. Get your whole community involved with raising the money. The more involved people are, the better the response will be. Good luck.

well if this is the woman i think it is, her story was in our local paper this week. she would live in the NE of scotland ( 15 miles from me actually ) and i think it is sad that so many people think it is a scam. and as for the nhs, if my sister had to wait 10 months for a brain scan then god help her ( and yes, when my sis went private as she couldnt wait, she was diagnosed with brain tumour ).
maybe you could ask for help from some of the ** companies in the city you are in and any other large company.
think about the cost......there will be flights and accomodation to pay for and the treatment itself. i bet that wont come cheap. i just hope you are all proved wrong !!!!! its not the 1st time someone in britain has had to go abroad for life-saving treatment.

If you're in the UK - you don't need funds, the NHS will do it.
Otherwise, I assume either some Cancer Charity or try fund raising via daily papers/shops/friends.

Bunkum!
I am a cancer sufferer and have all my medicines and operations on the NHS. They are wonderful and very helpful. If you are genuine, you don't need one penny for treatment.
