Just curious.

Someone just suggested me to learn Arabic to really understand it. That is a lot to ask and takes time.

With every translation the meanings of any writing are altered to some degree the fit the understanding and/or personal beliefs of the translator. This includes the bible. It follows therefore that each additional translation of the translated material will wander farther from the original.

You can gain a general understanding through translations, same as with the Bible, but if there is anything which seems unclear, you may want to have an Arabic speaking/reading friend around to help you out. Like any other written or spoken work, some things are lost or modified in translation.

I recommend having two or three translations available, for comparison.

Thats a lie. That way they can dodge every question about the evil verses by saying that that is a bad translation. I have an Arab friend who assures me that the english translations are accurate.

brother, there are more non-arab muslims than Arab-muslims, believe it or not. and that never stop them from being a muslim.

prophet Muhammd mentioned that those who read the Quran get rewarded, but for those who struggle when reading it get their reward doubled.

If we in the 21st century still believe that God or Allah or whoever wrote books, then we have to rush and examine our brains.
