One of my Loves and I made this a few days ago.

I did not think I would have a chance to use it for awhile.

Thankyou.

Here it is:

And a one, and a two, and a three...

You Cannot Learn To Fight On A Website.

The first thing you need to realize is that self defense is not about learning to fight. It is about surviving a violent encounter realitivly unharmed, and without the police looking for you afterward. I say that because there are limits to what you can legally do in order to defend yourself.

Check out this web site:

http://www.nononsenseselfdefense.com/

It won't teach you how to fight, but it will teach you a great deal about keeping yourself safe.

Good luck

NOPE,

there's no websites, videos, or books that can teach you Martial Arts for free.

these three things are only good for reference material for those people who're already in a class setting.

there's no substitute for a TRAINED, CERTIFIED, Martial Arts Instructor that can properly teach you Martial Arts or self defense.

No.

If you want to learn self defense go to school. Until you get hit, even in a controled enviroment, you wont know what to do and will shut down. There is no substitute for real training.

Somewhere along the lines of Christopher H, check http://www.wikihow.com/Thwart-an-Abduction-Attempt .
Remember that if you are a peaceful civilian, then you want to AVOID fighting, because the attacker will have the timing advantage.

If you are thinking on sport fighting, you will need a teacher/master/trainer, along with mates to practice with, and learn along safely, and -most importantly- discipline.

None of these are available from websites, but they can guide you towards particular styles and schools.

Good luck

the internet is just as plausible as some martial art schools out there in the real world. I agree it is not plausible, but many schools are worse.

A website can tell you the guidlines but can not replace an instructor.
