if you are under 18, then you are a junior bridesmaid.
BECAUSE if you are under 18 none of the groomsmen can **** with you at the reception. If you are a junior bridesmaid then they know not to touch you or give you alcohol.

I was curious what the role of a jr. bridesmaid is and why it is around. This is what I found:
"Junior Bridesmaid (ages 8 to 14) - This role is reserved for girls who are too old to be a flower girl and too young to be a bridesmaid. In most cases, her only duty is to come to the rehearsal and to walk down the aisle. Some couples do include junior bridesmaids in other festivities such as showers (but no bachelorette parties). Older girls can be regular bridesmaids."
So, how old are you?
edit - If you feel you are being slighted by his offer of Jr. bridesmaid, just respectfully decline. There is no shame in not being in the wedding, and you will have a better view of the wedding from the pews.

A junior bridesmaid is usually too old to be a flower girl and too young to be a bridesmaid. They wear similar outfits to the bridesmaids usually. How old are you?
As far as advice, I would be happy to be involved in the wedding. Show your brother support. You are still going to be an important part of the wedding. Junior bridesmaids aren't like bridesmaids in training, it is just an age thing.

If being called a junior bridesmaid upsets you why not have a talk to your mother or his intended wife and ask them about you being just a regular bridesmaid. If you are actually under 18yrs. your brother can wise up the males in the wedding group that don't already know, that you are a minor. Don't let the tag of junior spoil the day for yourself as it can be quite fun whether your junior or regular.

The biggest thing is to be happy that your brother thinks enough of you to be in the bridal party. He wants you to stand up with him while he takes a very big step in his life. The role of a Junior bridesmaid is very similar to a bridesmaid, but without some of the responsibilities. Please sit down with your brother and ask him why he wants you as a junior bridesmaid. I wouldn't use the "I'm old enough" line though when talking with your brother AND his fiancee. This will only make you seem younger to his fiancee (which may be why they want you to be a Junior bridesmaid)
If you are a bridesmaid (whether junior or "regular") you are actually part of the bride's side of the ceremony and she may not understand how mature you are. Just talk to your brother. We as a world do not talk to humans anymore we talk to machines. Just a thought.

I am not sure because when my brother got married i was a bridesmaid and i was under 18 so i wouldn't say because you are under 18 you have to be a jr bridesmaid. Maybe you should talk to your brother and ask him. Maybe they have jr bridesmaid wearing a diffrent color dress or something because that is what i have my jr bridesmaids doing. Good Luck don't worry to much about it at least you are in the wedding.

Well, you don't give your age. A "regular" bridesmaid would be over 18 years old, so otherwise you would be "junior".

This really depends on your age ,if you are a younger teen or a young woman. Remember it is your brothers wedding and he wants you to be apart of it.A bridesmaid junior or not, you are still a bridesmaid.

A Jr. Bridesmaid is a regular bridesmaid...is just called that because she is usually younger than the others. It is every bit as much of an honor and is probably what his fiance is calling it, so don't worry about it. It is up to her to choose her bridesmaids...so you are honored to be chosen and what she wants you to do. Chances are she will also have a younger groomsman as well.
Your brother is just communicating what she wants...or as they have decided together. Don't worry about. Say thanks, I'd love to!

it's the same thing, bridesmaids, junior bridesmaids. I believe it's due to your age.
