It works for some people, but it always depends on this: how long are you going to be apart? how often can you see each other? Is there any end in sight to the distance between you?

If it's going to be a number of years, or forever, until you can live in the same town then it's not going to work. But if he's just away for the school year, and then coming home, it could work.

Hi Lil, I am in a long distance relationship, and yes they can work.
This beautiful man is my true soulmate, and i won't let him go,and he feels the same. It gets hard at times, but it is worth it in the long run. I will be flying to his state in the last day of june. We both can't wait. If your b.f. really loves, and cared about you,he would not want to break up with you. I think he is leaving somethings out. If i was you,i would let him go.You will hurt for awhile, but why be with someone who really doesn't care. You will find someone else who will treat you the way you deserve. A Friend.

It can only work if you are both willing to work at it. If he is already thinking about breaking up, it is not a very good sign. A long distance relationship can work if both people communicate often and make sure they set aside time to be with each other. You cannot do it with little or no contact.

Its hard to say. It has to be a choice you make. If he decides to break things off, maybe a long distance thing isn't working for him.

I know personally, that I don't like long distance relationships, I like someone who is around to spend time with.

I am currently in a long distance relationship, but only because its a temporary situation. If it wasn't a temporary situation, then I would probably break it off at some point.

I don't think it will work out, especially if he already wants to break up with you. I tried a long distance relationship and I found out he was lying to me and getting into drugs, a month after he started it. Then i broke up with him. So it just depends on how close you are, how often you see eachother, and how much you trust eachother. Hope I was some help to you good luck!! :)

Long distance relationships can work out if both of you agree to making things work. However, since he already wants to break up with you, then I dont think it will work out for you two.

I've tried the lon distance relationship thing twice and it didn't work either time. People tend to grow apart when there never able to see each other.

Me: I'd be heartbroken cause I'd NEVER get to see him well...in time I would but seriously do you really want this!!!

My Friend: Depends on how much you like him....So people would die from being with them, but not seeing them, and would be better off free. But if you really like him, A LOT, then it would be worth it. BTW if you're young, then dont' do it. Too many people. Less you're in love.

Even if it's a long distance relationship, if there's true love in it, it should work out.

If your boyfriend doesn't really love you, then you should just get it over with. It's not worth your time, dear.

depends on how far you are apart, and if you can get together or not.

I would not recommend anymore than you can drive when you want to, unless you know you will be moving in together soon.

if not, then I recommend simply moving on, because it is not feasible to date 1/2 way across the country.
