What would a bartender be doing during downtime, like mid-day?

I'm writing ascen and yes, it's avamp bar, but still what would the bartender mostl ikley be doing?

well at the bar i work at my co workers tend to sit on their asses til they get a customer and they chain smoke cigarettes til they have to do something...however they could be cleaning ashtrays,glasses, night prep like lemons,limes, and stocking the booze...hope this helps

Sleeping! Trying to recuperate for the following evening...If I'm a work during downtime, I'm usually chain-smoking just like stated above-and setting up (stocking beer, slicing limes, wiping down the bar, sweeping, etc., etc.)
