A while ago my best friend and I discovered that we liked the same guy. And she was pushing me to ask him out. But I didnt want to cause I knew she liked him too. And thats a rule isn't it? You dont ask out guys your friend likes? Then she kept pesting and pesting me if I would be mad if she asked him out. And I got fed up with her and said fine but never thought she would do it. But she did and I got mad. She swore not to take it any further and claimed she felt bad about it. But it went further. He asked her to be his girlfriend the other night and she said yes. This isn't the first time she has done something like this. She pressures me into doing things for her all the time. And she said that I have no right to be mad at her. The problem is, I have a very hard time staying mad at her for even more than an hour and I feel that she is getting away with this and deserves it. What I'm wondering is if this is big enough to stay mad at her for a while and worthy of punnishment?

Its sound to like she was testing you. When she told you to go out with him and you said no, she probably thought "If she doesn't want him, then I'll take him." so thats probably why she got with him. and that is scanadlis, and that is a reason to get mad but not for long term.

Well, i dont think you can honestly be upset with her since she asked you and you told her to ask him out.
She did abide by the rules, even though it backfired on what you thought would happen. You respected her feelings in the matter and didnt ask him out, all the while she was telling you to. When the situation reversed, you told her to and she did. I guess you shoulda asked him when she told ya to.
Dont let a guy interfere with your friendship. Its not worth it. Guys will come and go, but true friends are for a lifetime and will be there for you always.
I would call her up and say...."Hey, you know what.....I am glad for the two of you. A guy isnt worth fighting and losing you over so lets just make up and be friends again, ok?" She will need you when she has rough times, and hun, there are tons of other guys out there who i am sure will be willing to be your bf.
I hope it all works out for ya.....Good luck.
