I had this boyfriend that I dated for 4 months, and about a week before we broke up, he called to tell me he had made out with another girl at a bonfire. i was angry but i loved him and gave him a second chance, but we broke up at our town fair. well, that was almost 5 months ago and im still not over him! he's really sweet, but he keeps telling people he'd NEVER go out with me again. i try to tell myself I'm over him, but then I see him in school the next day and I just can't help but love him. I feel pathetic! Is this okay? What do I do?

It could take a while to get over him, but staying friends with him will make it harder. He doesn't sound so "sweet" if he is telling people things about you, and the fact that he cheated shows he has no respect for you as a PERSON, not just as a girlfriend. The being young and foolish excuse doesn't wash with me, as MANY guys never grow up and try to justify things. It's hard, but you'll have to distance yourself from him. Good luck with it.

Move on.. Once a cheater, always a cheater. You shouldn't want a guy that is going to have no respect for you. If he cared at all about you, he would not hurt you like that. He must really like the girl that he is now with since he cheated on two different girls with her. I'm glad you can admit that you were wrong in your attempt to get back at him. You should have been the bigger person, but instead you stooped to his level. Good luck. Even though it is hard now, you will forget about him. Do what makes you happy.. Whether it's going back to the first ex or just staying single. ;)

It seems like he is in a situation in his life where he is young and still exploring and does not want to settle down at all, plus other peoples opinions mean way to much for him to mature enough to have a relationship. Sweety he is playing the game of a teenager in middleschool who just discovered girls and jumping all over trying to get all he can get and placing his popularity on it. You have more mature expectations, and I know you like him, but you deserve someone on your level. Sometimes sadly it takes guys way too long to get to that point and sometimes they never do! Find some great girlfriends and just have to best time of your life and wait for the perfect guy to find you. Once you stop looking and fall in love with yourself, they will come knocking with all the confidence glowing off you!

You shouldnt feel pathetic, 4 months of what you thought was real wasnt much if hes out there for someone else. It may take some time to realise it, but after you retry life you will understand that theres others out there who can be more then he was. People tend to believe they find Mr/Ms right so they put up with a lot of stuff, and mostly its because there afraid to be single.

Its okay if you're willing to deal with the fact that he cheated. Since you're not married and your young, i assume, what difference does it make if he cheated?

You are both in an exploratory part of your lives. If you enjoy spending time together, then go back to him. That's all that really matters. The future will unfold as it needs to. Just go back to him with your eyes open.

well duh its okay!!! lol i mean even though someone hurts you, you usually still love them. its normal to still have feelings for some one even if they leave you and hurt you. its like if a loved one died and was hatefull toward you befor they left the world your still going to love them. and i can tell he treated you very well despite his mistake so dont feel pathetic. when you really love someone you love them for ever!!!
good luck
