Welcome to the young love and social grace class 101---first off, work is work---say hi and do you thing---leave the social stuff outside and for the proper time. He isn't going to run off or disappear---so wait till an opportune time to arrange a number exchange. Nothing wrong with a hello, how are you ?? But that's it...have some respect for him and his job.
