if you like him, ALOT, say yes. but if you dont, tell him gently that you just dont want to ruin a friendship. but you have to be careful if you say no, because he could take that the wrong way too.

You certainly must be on the young side--so I would say that you are going to learn that millions of kids date and break-up without it being awkward---that just doesn't have to happen. You need to start off nice and slow---EASY DATES that are no pressure--keep it real cordial and casual--just to see if you even like being with this guy---and if you find it is not going well, you simply say that you appreciate his asking you out but it isn't easy with the plans you have for school and other personal projects. Thank him and move on. Everything in your life is UP TO YOU--no one else---and NO pressure from any guy either. No sex for a long time---it tells him the wrong message. Never use the love word--you have no idea what it REALLY means. Of course if this really is an issue of you do not think it's a good idea---simply say NO --not at this time, but thanks. SMILE and keep it friendly. You never owe anyone an excuse----do not offer one.

Think about what you would want more, If you think a relationship would be no good, then be honest, but that could affect the friendship as well. Sit and acutally think about he option. I say give it a chance. I dated my best friend and it was a good relationship. However, we did break up, and we are no longer friends. I do not regret our relationship because I learned a lot. I believe that live and learn, because you never know what will come of the relationships you have with people.
