TRY:
Fish Oil (increases hair health/shine, as well as nails)
Pre-Natal Vitamins (even if you're not pregnant, it thickens your hair!)
both are available at Target.
A good and strange w ay to thicken hair is actually to "damage" it, meaning - have your hair highlighted or colored at the salon. It ruffens the individual hairs creating a fuller effect. Strange I know, but it really does work!

Folic Acid. You can buy it in the vitamin isle. It's inexpensive. You have to take it every day and bear in mind that it will only help the new growth. So it may take 6 months to a year before you see any real results. In the meantime, use gentle shampoo, a good conditioner so you aren't ripping out your hair every time you comb it, and trim it often. Eventually the new growth with catch up. There are also volumizing products you can use, but I found most of them to be too sticky. Also, you might want to try Rosemary Hair Oil. Only use a couple drops at a time. You can buy it at Folica.com.

They usually make several especially for improving hair (skin & nails together) and usually contain Vitamin E. If you are in the US, try GNC stores. If you are in the UK try Holland & Barrett's 'Hair Food"...it's worth the cost. Nothing will thicken hair that is already grown; you can only improve the new hair that is currently growing out of your scalp.

There is a line of hair products called Nioxin and it works great for thin hair. It's sold to professional salons only but it really works. It has vitamins as well as shampoo, scalp treatment, hair spray, moouse, gel. I use it in the salon I work in and everyone who I use it on says that it makes a difference.

nicely be sure to bathe your hair daily, it retains it from falling out as lots... brush it often yet gently not harshly. Use thickening shampoos and conditioners.. put in thickening mousse at night.
