YES you can have a credit card without a bank account. I filled in an application form while i was sitting in the departure lounge at the airport (Gatwick) and about 2 weeks later i got a credit card. When i get a statement in you go to the bank and pay it, no direct debit. So no matter what the other people say the answer to your question is definitely YES. Hope this helps.

No - I used to work for HSBC, selling credit cards/loans/accounts (I know - i'm going straight to hell - I only did it for a few weeks though) and you had to have an account to have a credit card.
I wouldn't advise getting a card anyway...

What? Do you think you can keep all your money under your pillow and the credit card company arrange payments through it?
