an older male role model in my life that i really like and look up to recently told me he's having a baby with his wife. i never thought he'd have kids. but now i just can't get my mind off of it and it actually had made me cry. i don't know why but i feel upset over the issue and i don't want to feel sad about it anymore. even thinking about him caring for a cute little baby makes me melt inside. i dont want to feel sad or even left out...but saying that makes me feel incredibly selfish. what can i do to just be happy for him and not be sad over the fact he's having a baby??

Is he more then just a role model to you? Like maybe you have more feelings then that? I could imagine if that were the case why you would be feeling that way. I don't mean any offence if this is not the case okay? But maybe you should think about it, that's the first thing that came to my mind

That's very strange... I mean, it doesn't seem to me that his wife having a baby should be any of your business in the first place, much less should you be upset about it. Is this actually your dad and his new wife or something?

Include yourself in the baby's life... if you see how happy he is, maybe you'll learn to accept it, and be happy for him.
