If your dog wanted to get into your bed would you let it in? I have two dogs, Toby a large German Shepherd cross breed, and Sasha a pedigree Staffie. Toby will sleep on my bed for a while at night then jump down and sleep on the carpet, but Sasha is on my bed all night and sometimes wants to get under the covers for a cuddle, especially if it gets cold overnight. Even when she's on the top of the covers she's still right beside me, and sometimes she has more of the bed than I do! I know I've spoilt her and it's my fault she's like this, but she doesn't have fleas or worms and in that repsect it's not too unhealthy. I hope.
Would you let your dog in your bed?

Repsect isn't a word. I mean respect.

I've just remembered that not so long ago my mum was asleep on her bed and her dog was asleep behind her, and when the dog rolled over she knocked my mum on the floor and she broke her arm!

I had a staffie and i couldnt get the bugger out of my bed! He would come to bed with me every night, get in through the top of the covers down to the end and curl up in a ball, if it was really cold he would curl up behind my knees. If i was late going to bed he would sometimes be there before me. I know to some people it sounds gross, but he didnt have fleas, wormed reguarly and i changed the sheets twice a week. I dont have him now and that is one thing i really miss is having him cuddle up in bed, actually that bought tears to my eyes!

Only after he has a shower and is clean, wiped his paws, and it's really cold!! Or i want some company. He likes to sleep in the centre of the bed because he is a bed-hogger!! Otherwise, he usually sleeps in his bed... he has several scattered around the house and he seems to like them very much.
He's an old dog so he gets cold easily nowadays!! But when he needs a shower... NO!!

Absolutely positively without a single question, I sure as heck would. And I would not ask anyone else if they approved or not. I'm in my eighth life cycle (if you know how many years make's one life cycle, you'll know how old I am) and I've owned many loving animals that I snuggled up to every night, and all were content in the homestead.Yupers ,they sure as heck were. Now,let me share alittle moment late in the night when all the bed bugs are sleeping ever so tight; Bubba,my german sheperd,( may you rest in peace Bubba) and I were side by side and my foot kicked him, to my surprise, he thought he was being attacked, and naturally, his instinct was to attack back! Ouch, fortunately my foot was under the thick comforter, and he was unable to break my skin. My last little bedtime story to share took place about 12 days ago.My sweet cat,Snapperdoodles and I were sleeping ever so close ,he in my arm and side, when the next thing I know is this incredible pain and ton's of blood everywhere.Snappoo was woke up by my arm twitching into his behind area, and it scared him so bad, that he tried to burn rubber out of my grasp.Unfortunately,he sliced open a vein on the top of my hand, and to my surprise,I had quite an injury to deal with .So,yes I still would not have it any other way.My animals are my life. And that's all I have to say about that. P.S. I will give a hint to those who know not how many years to make one life cycle; Snow white.and the ------- dwarfs.

I don't have a dog, but if the dog isn't trying to push me out of bed I would. I do share my bed with a pair of cats, after all, and I do know a dog that likes to sleep with his head on a pillow and coverred with a blanket.

ABSOULUTELY YES YES YES I would let my dog or should I say dogs on my bed. They are a part of you the GERMAN SHEPARD HONESTLY does it to PROTECT you believe it or not. I believe if you are going to have an animal then you should treat them as if they were like a child to you and honestly by having him sleep with you it will make him even closer to youBUT the time you stop having him on your bed next to you he will cry cry cry for that he feels as if you are ignoring him or if he has done something wrong so the best thing to do is if your going to have him sleep with you make sure its really what you want for he will want to allllllll the time SWEET DREAMS TO YOU AND YOUR FRIENDS

I wouldn't let anyone or anything other than my girlfriend into my bed. If you let your dogs sleep with you they could get possesive and you could have problems if you want another person in your bed rather than a dog.

My two little dogs always sleep in my bed, the chihuahua under the covers by my knees and my lhasa on top by my feet. One thing I try try try to do is make sure they know it is MY bed I invite them up and kick them off if they ghet piggy with the cuddles. Of course I am dealinf with two nine pounders... but ya know, basic priciples apply.

My dog is also free of worms and fleas but he sleeps in his bed and I sleep in mine. He is not allowed on my bed. Just a personal preference really. When I was young I had my dogs sleep with me and I lived through it.
