You would likely want to bleach or wax the hair. Since you are so young, I would suggest you mention to your mom that you want to do one of those two options. It stinks, but maybe she'll help you out.

Maybe she even has the same problem but handles it privately?

Hi,
My daughter is 14 with the same problem. I'm a beautician so my professional advise would be to start with a bleaching cream that is specifically made for facial hair. DO NOT use regular bleach, this can cause chemical burns and then you'll end up with scars. You can get facial bleaching kits at all drugstores and Target and Walmart etc... If you don't get the result you want from that you can get it professionally waxed. I've been doing that for my daughter every 4 weeks and it keeps it under control. Some people may tell you that your hair will grow in thicker and darker if you wax but that is completely false. As a matter of fact the hair actually grows back in finer the longer you wax.
Good luck and I think you should tell your mom....she may have the same problem and will know exactly what you're going through....

Well there are a couple things you can do. First you can buy some Sally Hensen hair bleach and bleach it. Now it will still be there but it will be really light. Then you can also use Nair, but beware it can leave chemical burns on sensitive skin.( it did to me) Then you can just get it waxed when you do your eyebrows ( if you wax) It hurts a little but it gets rid of the hair and you will feel better, and your make up goes on better. Finally don't be embarrassed to talk to your mom about it. I am sure she will be able to relate. Good Luck!!

Well,
Go to Sally Beauty Salon or anywhere that sells Sally Hansen stuff and they have flavored lip do-at-home-wax. Its painless, and it smells REALLY good. If you did shave your upper lip (like stupid me lol) Make sure you put lotion on after wherever you shave because it makes it stay cut off. But I use the Sally stuff because i dont want to wax because it irritates the skin and hurts. So good luck and I hope you problem is solved!!!

okay, im 15 and i have the same feeling. if it bothers you tell her NOT to laugh and then tell her the real thing. things like that you really have to get over, because you mom is the only one who will laugh at you for 3 days, then forget that the convorsation ever happened.

oh yea, those waxing kits at wal*mart or heb. browse around the asile to find what you like. or if they are too thin to wax, but are getting darker, bleach them. whatever you do DONT, i repeat, DONT shave your upper lip. it never works out.

Just tell your mom, it i don't think it's embarrasing. Just tell her..she would probably have better advice then any of us on Yahoo Answers :-P (unless there is a mom w/ a daughter with the same problem)

yeah, i had this problem. i just shaved it and now i have to do it like every other couple days so don't shave it cause it totally sucks. just tell ur mom and see what she says. its better to ask her than to walk around w/ a full man's mustache. jk im sure its not that bad.

tell her, ask her if you can tweeze it or wax it, but whatever you do: DONT SHAVE IT! IT MAKES IT GROW BACK THICKER AND DARKER!
