In no country on Earth can an illegal alien vote; in all the foreign countries I have lived in (37), you could not rent lodging, get credit, or vote in any election... in fact, once you were stopped on the street by police, you were unfailingly arrested for being in their country illegally. In America, the question has taken on racial tones by both sides of the question; in short, if you don't immigrate legally, you have no ties to the community, or country; you can leave whenever you break a law, instead of justice being served.

Actually the term is undocumented if you want to speak in legal terms. People aren't illegal maybe their status is but not the person. However, no they should not have the right to vote. Rights come with responsibility and one of the responsibility that we citizens have is making sure that we vote on people who are going to make sure that laws are just for everyone. Now the question is should legal immigrants have the right to vote?

In their home countries, yes. In the country they are illegal in, no.
That right is constitutionally preserved for citizens.

No. It doesn't seem appropriate for anyone who is not naturalized to vote, does it?

Anyone who pays taxes should have the right to vote. I know many illegals who pay taxes. I know of Americans who don't. I think it's simple math. Since tax dollars run the government then whomever is paying for that government should have a say so in who is elected.
