Why does your boyfriend need to support you? This is 2007 and women have all the opportunities in the world to financially support themselves. Why don't you both support one another by working and contributing equally, financially. You will actually have a better life financially by doing so.
The only time a women should not work in a relationship is if she has children AND both partners agree that the women should stay home. And even that should be only done if it is completely affordable.
Don't rely on your boyfriend to support you financially all the time. He will get sick of it, and he will eventually find someone that isn't completely needy or lazy.

Why does he need to support you? A relationship is usually about being equal partners and in this day and age I don't expect any man to financially support me 100%. I've got a decent job and have been supporting myself for years, and I'm willing to put into a relationship equally financially so that we both gain out of it. If you're expecting to be 'kept' by some guy then I think you need to wake up and smell the coffee, this isn't the 1800's!

Why do you need your boyfriend to support you? Do you mean financially or just in general. If you mean financially then you should be ashamed of yourself. The year is 2007 and everyone has to support themselves.

Well, I think you should try to be financially independent and try to support yourself- not wait for someone else to take care of you. You never know how life will turn out and it is very important for a woman to be able to take care of herself financially.

you shouldnt be depending on him to take care of you entirely. you shouldnt have to depend on a man 4 anything, but i understand that if u want 2 be in a relationship, the significant other has to be able to at least support themself. if he's 28 n still cant support himself, it's WAY past too late. i'll just put it like this, im about 2 be 20 and i pretty much take care of myself. he has no escuse, he's a loser!

If he is 28, and he doesn't have a descent job yet, he probably will never be motivated enough to get a better job. It's will be a hard life if you chose to stay with someone who is unable to support you. You will have to help support him.

you should be able to support yourself. But if you are looking for financial assistance and he is still not giving it to you- then I would have to give him the boot. Benn there and done that.
