where to put the ring?

When any two getting married, in which hand the ring should be place right or lift. And if you are engaged in which hand the ring should be place? I know that the ring in the right hand is for engagement and the ring in the lift hand is for marriage am I right? Answers and corrections plz

The engagement ring goes on the second finger (Next to her Pinky) on the left hand. (Romans used to believe there was a link to this finger and the heart!) For your marriage ceremony. The groom takes off the brides engagement ring and places it on the second finger (next to her pinky) on the night before the wedding. The wedding ring goes on the second finger of the right hand also, and then the engagement ring goes on top.

Both are placed on the left ring finger. During my wedding (before the vows were said) I put my engagement ring on my right hand for the time being. After the ceremony was over I put it back on my left ring finger with my wedding band. I think everyone wears them differently but I wear mine with my wedding ring on first then my engagement ring directly after.
