At my school there is this really hot guy that i have been dieing to go out with. So today i asked him if his girlfriend dumped him again. and he told me that yes. So finally, i really like this guy, but he has said that he likes me as a friend. i would really like to ask him out, but i don't want to sound like a b*tch that was wating for the right time to ask him out. We both get along great, but like he flirts with me a lot. and i don't want his friends making fun of both of us, (we are both in the popular clique) What can i do???

PLEASE HELP I'M REALLY DESPERATE!!!!

It concerns me that you can spell "clique" and NOT "dying". Being in a "clique" is NOT a good thing. A group of FRIENDS is a good thing. A "clique" has a definite NEGATIVE connotation. Have you seen the movie "Mean Girls"?!
Anyway, about your problem..........as YOU said, "his girlfriend dumped him". If THAT'S truly the case, she's out of the picture. But you don't have "ask him out", why can't you guys just hang out together?! That way you get to see if there could be something else there and no one gets hurt if you decide not to pursue it.
You're YOUNG for cripes sake!! Why are young people SOOO anxious to tie themselves down these days?!!

Well if you are a friendly basis and you want to go out with him, but not sound like you are pushing him into it....make a friendly bet...one where you win either way....

Like....if I lose, I take you out for a banana split, but if you lose, you have to take me out for pizza....make it non-threatening...just fun...
and you have a first date without seeming to...then maybe he'll follow it up! Just calling up and asking him out he probably isn't ready for......

The challenge-bet idea can be done right in the middle of your group of friends....make if fit in with what you are all doing.....bet about a game....whatever.....it works!

i totally know where you are coming from. every guy when he finds out he likes me he just is all like oh well i just see her as a friend and i get relle pissed. so i suggest you just lay off for a while and do not even bother asking him out. give it some time. and what ever you do do not make it obvious that you like him. trust me if someone else finds out you like him you are in some deep S***. so yeah.

Wait just a little longer before you ask him out.

And if he said that he likes you as a friend, just throw the fact that you like him, suttley... that way, if he doesn't like you the same way, you wont get hurt!

Good Luck!

tell him that she has been dumping him enough times. now its time to celebrate it. Go out and have a toast to his new found freedom.

yeah, you should probably wait a little longer before you ask him out or you will tarnish your reputation.
