Well, when trying to name my 6 kitties, I had a difficult time, but over a week or so period for each of them, I came up with the perfect names.
Melody is 11.5 years old. I sing opera and when I was rehearsing one day (back when she was like 12 weeks old) she came out of a deep sleep and insisted that I pick her up while I was rehearsing. She was singing with me, while sitting on my shoulder. The name was perfect.
Scamper approximately 8.5 years old. She came with this name, but she runs all over the place and it is a perfect name for her.
Miss Weasley - 1.5 years old. She started off as a foster kitten, and I didn't know her gender yet (at 4 weeks you can't tell because if it's a boy 'they' haven't dropped yet.) She had, and has, a chronic URI (upper respiratory infection) and as a result was wheezing a lot. Since I had planned on returning her to the shelter, I wanted a name that kids could relate to. I was thinking along the lines of Harry Potter names - 'cause kids could relate to that. I thought Weasley would be perfect - Ron Weasley, etc. Then I discovered that Weasley was in fact a girl... but she was already responding to Weasley. So Miss Weasley is her name.
Katie Belle - 1.5 years. A rescue - her name was Katie when I adopted her, but added the Belle part on to continue with the Harry Potter name theme. (Katie Bell was the girl who had the pearl necklace in HBP)
Sir Nicholas de Mimsy Porpington (or Nicholas, for short). 8 months old. He was a drop off at my work (when I'm not singing I work for a pet store - gotta pay the bills somehow!) Some jerk of person dropped off a litter of 8 kittens in a box, pushed the box inside the store in a cart with a note that said "find them a home". I fell in love with this one little guy... and knew that I had to take him home with me. However, he was SOOO attached to his brother, Remus J. Lupin, (again, with the Harry Potter names) that I had to bring them both home with me.
So for names for your kitty, if you're a Harry Potter fan, I'd go with Crookshanks - for Hermione's cat. If not, just watch her for a few days, and a name will come to you!
Good luck, and let us know what you name her!

Cats like names ending with an eee sound. Missy, Mitzy, Suzie, Betsy, are some I can think of. Have fun naming her whatever name you do! And enjoy that little one! She sounds cute.

While my cat is simply named 'Sarah', my brother decided to name his cat 'Evinrude' due to the fact that he begins purring loudly the minute he jumps into someones lap and sounds like an Evinrude outboard engine.
