.......pigtails and french braids are different, one is stuck to the head and one is free from the head:

Four peices of hair.
Steps:
1. Tie in pig tail
2. half the pig tail
3. from one of the sides take a small peice of hair from the out side of the two devide hair and take it to the other half of the pig tail.
4. do it again on the other side from thout side in keep doing this.

Start the braid, add hair just below the "start" part and add in. Keep doing so.Just keep adding in hair as you go down.
