It may be something called a varicocele, which is simply an enlargement of the veins in the testicle. It can cause a lump to appear and pain in the region. If it is, it will go on its own no problem.

get him to double check for a lump, give the antibiotics time to work (7 days approx) if no improvement, get back to doctor and ask for a testicular scan.

If the doc tries to fob you off, point out that he is at the prime age for testicular cancer and you want a scan. Dont leave the doc until you get a scan sorted, I lost a very good friend at a similar age due to the doctor not referring him for scans. Its always best to be safe than sorry, but remember that its far more likely to be a varicocele than anything mroe sinister.

All the best, sorry if i scared you, but its better to check these things out fully.

xxxxxx

My right testicle and SI joint(hip) were hurting me so I went to the doctor thinking I had a pulled groin or hernia. He told me I had a hemipelvis misalignment and that it was the reason the reason for my groin pain. I was send to the chiropractor and he send the doctor was close, it was a pinched nerve in my lower back putting pressure on the nerve that runs from the hip to the pelvis and the groin.
I would get a thorough checkup on kidney stones first though. I'm on a medication that causes kidney stones and it could be the reason for my pain too.

Sorry to take heed to about this difficulty. It should be very not ordinary for you all. It appears like he's both very perplexed -(perchance dealing with a mid-existence disaster)- or extremely smart and manipulative. moves talk louder than words, in my opinion. IF he has finished a serious fuckup like getting yet another woman pregnant, he ought to sense very apprehensive about what is going to ensue next. opportunities are intense he not in any respect planned in this being pregnant and this hit him like a brick wall. right this moment, you're his spouse and also you carry the playing cards. you ought to sit and examine out to imagine what your ideas -and what the acceptable one is for you and your son. IF he has suggested he would not favor a divorce, it is both because a) He loves you and knows he made a gigantic mistake; or b) He should be with this different woman yet would not favor to anger you and make you're taking him to the cleaners, financially. (perchance he's stalling and gaining time even as he suggested he would not favor a divorce.) even as my mom and father went by an identical element (many years in the past; dad taken aback us with assistance from telling us he had an infant son jointly with his secretary...were married 30 years...), my mom merely about died of heartache. So please contact your kinfolk, get the assist you want and do 2 issues for your self and your son: A) GET suggestion from a good criminal professional, so that you could protect your self; and B) bypass to counseling right this moment. you'd be wanting help the following because your ideas and your heart are separated right this moment; and also you want a persons' sparkling and chilly attitude so that you could make the right judgements. ultimately, i am going to say this: look after your self and your son. do no longer enable this freak you out so badly that you get depressed and forestall sound asleep or eating. (My mom change into bedridden for 2 years; now she's happier than ever. lengthy tale.) you won't be able to administration your husband's emotions or moves; you could merely administration your man or woman. he's a grown-up and he has to pay the cost of the wear he has finished. you'd be in my prayers! concentration on YOU and your son now.

As a healthcare provider I would have given him antibiotics after obtaining a complete physical and history, urinalysis and some labwork. I also would have liked a referral for an ultrasound of the left testicle. I never take chances with 'the family jewels'.

My husband had similar symptoms and ignored them - after about a week he collapsed in pain. Turns out he had a kidney stone or stones passing through and in turn that had caused infection so it seems the GP may be right. If it carries on go back to the GP and ask to be referred to a urologist xxxxxxxxx

If it hasn't cleared up after the antibiotics finish, I would ask if he can be referred. You can't be too careful...

And no, I've never heard of such a thing. If you have more doctor at your surgery, maybe take him back to see a different one if he doesn't get better.

Best wishes

my husband had this problem at 21, his doctor said he'd twisted it and my hubby said it hurt for several weeks, he took some strong painkillers and it eventually went away, the pain spread through his lower back too. Be 100% sure that theres no lump there though.

Yes, my husband had this about a month ago. The doctor told him to wear his whitey tighties, instead of boxers. Also it took about 3-4 days for the pain to subside.

IT WILL TAKE ABOUT A WEEK BEFORE YOUR SON WILL ACTUALLY START FEELING BETTER , CAUSE YOU HAVE TO TAKE ANTIBIOTICS FOR 7-14 DAYS CONTINUALLY , TO CLEAR THE INFECTION UP COMPLETELY.
