I don't even know if that topic will cover this. I'm 17-about to be 18 in a few days and have NEVER had a boyfriend. For my birthday, my grandma is buying stuff for my dorm room (yay), my mom is buying me a phone (because mine fell in water and is dead), and my grandpa already gave me a puppy(yay). Even though I appreciate all these gifts, I REALLY want a boyfriend. No one at school likes me and I don't have any friends. My "youth group" at church is WAY TOO immature and they kicked me out. I am pretty mature for my age and I don't act like most teenagers. I don't/haven't rebelled against my mom because I don't see any point in it. The question is, When will I get a boyfriend? What do I do when I get a boyfriend? I've never had one, so I don't know. Please help. Thanks!

Prom is coming up and I really want someone to go with me. My family has tried to help, but most of the guys they "find" for me are too needy. What I mean is, I stop texting them for 5 minutes so I can take a shower and they freak out sending me 50 messages. Then, 5 minutes after texting them, they say "I love you." "I want to marry you." "How many kids do you want?" etc. etc. Please, someone tell me that all guys aren't that pathetic. Because if they are, I'll just give up, now.

I suspect you already know the answers to your questions. No one can tell you when you will get a boyfriend. In all honesty, if you are a nice person, there will be men that notice you and want to be with you. When that happens, you spend time with him and get to know each other. Do stuff that the two of you enjoy together and lavish him with the energy and affection that you have. Things will happen. In the mean time, don't get all desperate. Becoming all desperate turns men off too. You are likely to become a needy girl just like the boys you decribe that are driving you crazy. Be yourself and take care of yourself. I know it's hard, but think of this as time to do things that YOU like and develop your own interests. When you become a couple, you will have less time for this.

No, not all men are needy.
