Steam (without scalding yourself) will open your pores, then you use a clean rinsing soap or cleanser to clean your skin and pores then rinse very very well with warm water to rinse your pores then do a final cold rinse to close your clean pores.

Also for acne prone skin - avoid white sugar, white flour, butter and all foods that contain them. Avoid hydrogenated oil and high fructose cornsyrup like they were poison.

Keep your hair and your bedding, especially your pillowcase, clean. Remember that any hair product you use ends up on your pillow, then on your face and consider this when dressing your hair. Drink plenty of water and try to not touch your face with your hands during the day.

Yeah if you want to open your pores, but you have to make sure you use acne cleanser to take all the oil and grime out. It helps if you get cleansers that have salycic acid in them.

yes, definitely. steam helps to open up the pores. You can boil a pot of water and then stick your head over it, but be careful not to burn yourself. drape a hand towel over your head while doing this to help trap the steam near your face.
