I have read the Bible from cover to cover and I can not find the word Rapture. Yet Millions of Christians believe in a so called "Secret Rapture". I have seen the famous "Left Behind" series written by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B Jenkins. These are fiction books that discribe how this so called "Secret Rapture" could work. Is this the truth or could this be just one of the End Time Delusions that Satan is using to mislead the elect? Paul wrote in Thessalonians 2:3 that when Jesus comes back for us, his coming will not happen until a falling away comes first then the man of sin is revealed. Is it possible that many Christians will be deceived not by an evil so called outside the Church AntiChrist but someone who claims to be a Christian, leader in the Church? Any thoughts because I am very confused.

I truly believe that as we near the end of time that the church will go apostate. The anti christ might not be a human person but possibly a spirit (influenced by Satan) of total and eventual rejection of God both in the outside world and within the church itself. That is what I believe Paul is talking about in Thessalonians when he mentions "A falling away". (Hmm...count how many churches in our day actually preach a faithful biblical sermon? Much of what I have seen is pop psychology) This great apostasy is going to be very characteristic of the tribulation period. I also believe that the tribulation period is not one that consists of physical persecution but a spiritual tribulation at which time God will only be saving a very very few people.

Matthew 24:22 "And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened."

If those tribulation days were not shortened no single human on earth would become saved.

I don't believe in a "secret rapture". The Bible is pretty clear that once Christ returns we will be changed into our glorified spiritual bodies and this day will be one that will be revealed to everyone.

1 Corinthians 15:52 "in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed."

1 John 3:2 "Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is"

2 Peter 3:10 "But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up."

I am a Christian, first and foremost.

I do not believe in a secret rapture.

Looking through the Bible, there is a place where it says that Jesus will come back and the dead will be raised. That's the rapture.

The secret part of it is garbage.

The Bible says that the trumpet shall blow, the dead shall be raised, and we will rise into the sky.

That's not secret, buddy.

And some people think of the Antichrist as the pope. Martin Luther said that. Maybe the pope will/is leading people away.

It is my belief that most of Revelation (not all of it) took place in the year 72.

In Hebrew, each letter is assigned a number. The letters in Kaiser Neron (translated Emperor Nero) equal 666.

I think that most of it's happened already. All we're waiting for is for Christ to return and take us into glory.

No money in a secret rapture?
The facts are better than the fiction but you make no money?
You did read it in the Bible but you cannot remember because you did over look such a small detail; Genesis 5:24 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.
Now in the entire Bible only four people had this experience.
I did give you one because the rest did all come back to die, this is not what the rapture is. But four other people did get caught away and they are--- Moses; Deuteronomy 34: 6And he buried him in a valley in the land of Moab, over against Bethpeor: but no man knoweth of his sepulchre unto this day.
Jude 1:9 Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.

Elijah--2 Kings 2:11 And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.

Philip--Acts 8:39 And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing.

All of these others died except Enoch, because Philip died in his day and Moses and Elijah both come back latter and die in book of Revelations; Revelations11:10And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.

Here is the supporting arguements for a rapture---1 Corinthians 15:51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

But the rapture is also very much a secret and the world will not know anything about it; Revelation 16:15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.1 Thessalonians 5:2
For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. 3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
IN conclusion ONLY Enoch was taken so our example is as it was in the days of Noah, or as it was in the days of Sodom so shall the coming of the son of man. And Enoch was the only man that was raptured and the churches do not care because that is not a popular opinion, and to them it does not matter what the bible teaches?

No, there is no such teaching in scripture for a "secret rapture". This teaching comes from human interpretation of a couple of texts, however, rapture used to be a word that people called the Second Coming of Christ.
When Jesus comes in the clouds, people will rise to meet him..that is the only "rapture" or taking up, that there is.
Satan is trying to counterfeit ever teaching God has for us..and we all know that satan does not want any of us to remain faithful to God..he wants us to hate Him.
Please just believe what is in the Bible. Todays christianity bears little resemblance in teachings to those which Jesus taught.
God Bless.

You are correct. Like Christmass there is no such word in the Bible.

It is Satan's way to take your eye off the glorious truth of the Bible and entice you away from it.

If you yahoo "rapture" you probably can find sites that will show you how false it is.

One big proponent of it is Hal Lindsey. He is still searching for Israel to come into wealth. First it was minerals from the Dead Sea, (that didn't work 30 years ago) now he's pusing oil to be found there somehow.

He is blind to know that Israel is the LOST TEN TRIBES and he fails to understand this, thus he misinterprets everything in the Bible. It's like having the wrong code for program and everything comes out gibberish.

There will be no secret rapture. When Jesus returns, that will be the end of all things, including planet earth.

The Bible concurs with you - no rapture. in reality the option in accordance to Proverbs 2:21, 22: “For the upright are those which will live interior the earth, and the innocent are those which will be left over in it. As regards the wicked, they're going to be decrease off from the very earth; and as for the treacherous, they're going to be torn remote from it.”

I forgive you for wasting what little time you have in this life by reading the Left Behind books. I wish I could give it back to you!

I think you flatter the writers. they are simply awful writers bent on making a buck. no Satan needed.

Its there if you're reading the Latin Vulgate.

deinde nos qui vivimus qui relinquimur simul RAPIEMUR *** illis in nubibus obviam Domino in aera et sic semper *** Domino erimus
Jerome's Latin Vulgate 405 A.D. Info

The word " rapiemur" is translated "caught up" in the English versions.
1Th 4:17 Then we which are alive [and] remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

I guess that makes you, as they say in Latin, an IGNORAMUS.
