Yes, it is difficult to learn Hungarian, but it sounds nice to me and if you like it, it is of course easier to learn it.

I speak Finnish, which belongs to the same "language family", but I still cannot understand one single word of Hungarian, although it sometimes sounds like something I should understand. The grammar of the Hungarian language is very complicated, I have been told.

Hungary is a country: read about the 1956 Hungarian Revolution on GOOGLE.

Mariska (Agent Benson) on Special Victims Unit (Law & Order) speaks Hungarian.

No, because it's not a language, it's a country.
Hungarian (Magyar), however, IS a difficult language. It's not part of the Indo-European language family, as most European languages including English are; instead it's part of the Finno-Ugric language group and is distantly related to Finnish. That makes it very different from the more commonly studied languages in the United States.
I tried learning it once, briefly, in a sort of self-taught crash course before taking a vacation in Budapest. All I remember is: "Nem ertem!" (I don't understand!) and "Nem tudom!" (I don't know!)
Oh, and "Igen" is yes, "Nem" is no.

Yes, because it doesn't exist as a language. Hungary is a country. Hungarian is the language.
