A War directed at the wrong Enemy?!

I assume you are talking about the whole "We attacked Iraq because of 9/11" thing?

You poor sap. You fell for your own sides (Liberals) bullcrap propoganda

We never attacked Iraq because of 9/11. We knew Saddam had nothing to do with the 9/11 attack

We attacked Iraq because Saddam failed time after time after time to comply with UN sanctions and resolutions put in place after the FIRST Gulf war (AKA Desert Storm).

The War in Iraq and the War on Terror are TWO SEPERATE WARS

at least thats how they started. After we won in Iraq (back in '03) the Terrorists came in and started using Iraq as a rallying cry for Jihad.

Only now after the fact has the Iraq war and the terror war become one and the same.

You really should not start believing your own lies (liberals)

There are three reasons that come quickly to mind:
First, the way things were going with Saddam Hussein, we'd probably have had to go in by now anyway.
Second, the overall strategic aim is still a valid one. A secular, democratic country with safety and political say for each of the major groups would be a strong force in the region, isolating both Syria and Iran, both of which are troublesome.
Third, we've made the mess that's there now, and we have something of a moral obligation not to make things even worse, which would be certain if we were to wring our hands and just leave.

so, a war directed to a wrong enemy.....well, war should be carefully planned and stratagized, and the enemy should be well identified. How can you fight someone, if you dont know who you are fighting....and expecially if it is the wrong enemy. I am not for war, but if i were, then i would go by the saying " keep your friends close, but your enemy closer." But if i would be for war, then it would be because i was lied to...maybe by a leader or an influential political leader. Make love, not WAR!

This is a common political tactic used to frighten the public into doing whatever you tell them to do. Same with Germany and the Nazis . . the Jews were no real threat, but they provided a good scapegoat and unified opposing parties against a common "enemy." As long as they can't fight back, it works every time.

We have more that one enemy and the Islamic terrorists are one.So when we start attacking innocent people then maybe you could ask that question.Oh wait a minute when that happens it will most like be a Democrat president and all the liberals will praise the effort.
