...shouldn't you also blame Him for all the hardships you go through? After all, nothing happens without His permission, right? hehehe...

Not blame but, again we thank him because we know he will bring good from the bad.

No, I don't blame Him at all. Some of the hardships are situations that I've gotten myself into, some are the result of other people doing wrong, and some are just a part of life in a less-than-perfect world.

Everything teaches me something new and gives me insight that may help someone else along the line. So all things really do work to the good for those who love God and are called together according to His purpose.

And I am learning what St. Paul meant:

Phi 4:11-13. "Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.

"I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.

"I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."

I don't understand the "hehehe" at the ending, but I can honestly say, that God is not to be "blamed" per say. God is in control of distributing blessing and dispersing consequences as he wills. The hardships that you ask about are intended to have his children (us) draw closer to him, seek his guidance, and grow in serving him and handling situations in a godly, Christ-like way.
You may think this is "selfish", but simply put, humans are here to serve God, worship God, and bring others to the truth.

I give Thanks Unto the Lord, for being here. Many of the hardships humans endure are self induced. Why should we blame God, for things that we let happen? It is not His fault, but our own . If there were no Christians on Earth, then who would you pick on ? You need a good lesson in Respect. Those who laughs last, laughs best !!

Well you're not the first person to ask this question. God allowed His only Son to die for us, so our immediate comfort isn't, perhaps, his greatest concern. There are a lot of verses about this, but it's hard to take them out of context and really get it. However, I offer you this verse.

Phil. 4:4-7 -- "4Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

We're learning to trust with the bad as well as the good, even though it doesn't make sense at the time.

I don't think that God causes the hardships in our lives. I think that what He can do for you is help you through these bad times, and to help you to accept a will that may not be your own... And that I am grateful for.

I see it kind of like being humble. Like thanking my parents for providing me with all the luxury I have with THEIR money. And I do dilly squat in return, so there's really no place for me to complain. Then you always have to consider it from another perspective. I'm the one that's blessed to have a fully functioning body. I'm cancer-free. I'm not deformed. I have a roof to live under without rent. I go to a prestigious all-girls Catholic private school. My parents go out of their way so that I have the best in life, and at the same time, push reality into my life so that I won't fall hard on my feet when I go out there.

Well sometimes the hard trials and tribulations that we face in our life have nothing to do with us. sometimes he is using our lives as a part of a situation where he testing someone else. read the bible and the chapter of Job. he was an upright man, and the devil asked God if he could test him. God said yes and although Job went through trials and tribulations he refused to blame God. He still continued to praise God through all he went through and in the end he was restored with everything he had lost and more. last year this time i had nothing, my boyfriend left and took his car, my car was not working, my ex was trying to get my child, i had no job, i didnt even have hair, ha ha but through all the trials and tribulations, i had Jesus and he helped me through everything and now i have a new car, a great job, my child is sick but improving, my parents hired a lawyer for me, and yes i have hair ha ha. but more importantly through it all i still had Jesus!

Jesus said to pick up your cross and follow me...the suffering in this world only draws you closer to his presence if your totally surrended to HIM! and in the worst of life's trials you have a Source of strength who gives you peace and even joy ! I can't express how wonderful and amazing my Lord and Savior is, except to say that once my world was black as night, and now He is the Light and hope that illumanates my way. He is very real, I've seen miracles of both physical and spiritual. If you want to know if He is real, truely seek him... and He will open the door .

first off let me just say this question is stupid. i myself am not Christian, but you have no understanding of the concept otherwise you would not add the laugh at the end. GOD is responsible for all, everything, good bad or indifferent. most Christians understand at least that much, they ask only for guidance to understand as much as humanly possible. they also understand you can not have good without evil. that happiness needs pain to exist.

No i dont because we have free will and God does not force us to worship him. What kind of God would that be?Also evil is allowed to roam about on this earth and it is not the time for direct intervention from God on all levels. Our choices seem to cause us problems and yes we are allowed to have free will.God never promised that things would be easy but that he would be there for us and to carry our burden.Maybe you dont have faith so this is something that you will not understand until you ask Jesus into your life.
