My partner & I have a great relationship & fight rarely. Last night I asked him if he was okay b/c he was acting out of character. I spent the night at my place. He ignored a text message & a call to say goodnight. I’m irrational & worried. We’ve been together for over a year & he has never once ignored me.

He ignored me this morning as well, and when he did pick up his phone, he was extremely rude (a total of 2 text messages and 2 calls ignored since last night).

He called me later on this afternoon acting like his usual loving self, like nothing had happened. I asked him why he had ignored me last night, & his excuse was he was playing darts (he’s 26).

My question is this- I’m not spiteful and don’t like to play games, but should I give him a taste of his own medicine and ignore him tonight (he is also irrational/worries)?

I’m considering it because I frequently let things slide with him & honestly have really spoiled him. But what he did crossed a line with me & showed me what little respect he has for me. If he has no consideration for my feelings, why the hell should I have any for his?

Because last night when he was acting weird, you left him and he needed you.He was hurt that you left so he ignored your phone call and your text message. I never recommend playing games with someones heart. You could end up hurt. Let it slide.

No you should not play games and "give him a taste of his own medicine." What good would come of that? You should tell him how that made you feel, rather than acting like a child.

Waite untill next time he does it and at that time don't call or txt him, don't ask him what is wrong, let him pout and go do something fun with your friends that is innocent. when you decide to answer his call or txt after a day or so, he will be asking you why you were not calling or txting him and tell him you figured like last time he acted like that, that he just icnored you anyways so you went about your business untill he was done with his fit!

Maybe you should look for counceling if you realy care about the guy... because his reactions don't seem normal He has something on his mind... either regarding your relationship or his personal situation. I would suggest looking up some advice with professionals. And if it not so important.... than ignore him back for a change.

Even though you're not spiteful that does not mean that you should let someone walk over you. Yes I believe that you should give him taste of his own medicine, because if you continue to let it slide he will keep doing you this way and no one deserves that!!! :)

But on the next day act the way u usually do!

You have already answered your own question. You feel you need to do this, so do it. May not help but it may make him think twice about taking you for granted next time and not considering your feelings.
When you do it, and he questions you about it, be sure to give him a subtle reminder about the time he did it to you.
Good luck.

Okay, so un-spoil him. It might just clear the air.
