what should i do when i take out my braids?

when i took my braids out i washed and deep condition it. i put in olive oil and wet wrapped it. ( it depends on the texture of you hair if you wrap it , because after haviing braids a while you hair can be very thick and unruley). if you have to blow dry and flat iron your roots. apply a good hair moisturizer. if you get relaxers wait about two weeks before you do. in those two week find an easy hair do to work with and routinely apply hair moisturizer to you hair. or what i do when i take my braids is go the the beauty salon and get a wash and set and get my ends trimmed. that is most impotant. then two weeks later get a relaxer. be very delicate with your hair. there may be lots of shedding and you really have to oil and moisturize you hair . its critical.

I know one thing .....when I took out my extensions the first time I had them ......and washed my hair w/ out precombing it.......hmmm, a big, tangly web that looked like dreads was what I ended up with...so I suggest that you put some conditioner on it and comb it out with a wide tooth comb first, make sure you take little sections.......then after you can get a comb through your head wash your hair w/ shampoo that doesn't make your hair feel squeaky clean b/c that feeling is actual the oils stripped out of your hair, then deep condition after having those braids in for a while (I use Queen Helen's Cholesterol) ....and then just do you...

You should take out the braids if you want curly hair. But leave the braids if you like it and you want your hair in braids.

Go to the beauty supply store and ask them what you need to use... Then dry it out straight.
