Yes slapping a cat could hurt the cat, but probably not its internal organs. Even if one slapped the cat extremely hard, the cat would have to be against a stationary object so that its body would not be shifted by the assault and some of its force could penetrate through cats skin, adipose layer, muscle layer, and external viscera to even reach surface of any internal organs. Remeber you said slap not stab. Stabbing a cat would almost certaintly cause damage to internal organs. Slapping a cats side alone would not be very likely to cause damage to its internal organs. Also note the small mass of a cat allows for it to be shifted by an attack instead of acting as an absorbant.

Firstly let me slap you up the side of your head and tell me did that just hurt your brain??? Of course its gotta do some damage sooner or later if you want to correct bad behaviour use a spray bottle or make a loud noise and occupy your cat with games and toys, slapping your cat will make it dislike you.

Why would you have to hit your cat?
Yes you can injure it if you slap it too hard. If you are trying to correct behavior, try a water spray bottle. That won't hurt it but it will learn real quick not to do it anymore. I have birds in my house in a cage and I only had to "spray" the cat twice, he leaves them alone now.

Yes, Animals are too stupid to even compehed phyical puinishment.
When you need to punish spray water on them (With a spray bottle)
My cats understand when I pull out the spray bottle they are in trobble. Or say NO in a frim voice don't yell but don't say it in that voice you use when you say thier name, they will get confused .
But yes slapping a cat on its side will not slove anything, slapping a cat at all will not do anything.

There is never a good reason to slap a cat. It's called abuse.
If it's doing something wrong, use a spray bottle with water in it or a squirt gun and hit it with water if it is doing something wrong. Hitting an animal only teaches fear, it doesn't corolate the action with the abuse the way the water can offset negative behavior. Even seeing the bottle after a few squirts will modify the behavior.

How hard? Cats respond well to loud noises and a wave of the arm. If you want it to leave an area, try hissing and stomping.

Excuse me it's a cat. With dumb kitty brains. Point your finger and sternly say no. Remember they chose to stay with us.
