This is a very subjective question. Everybody is going to have evidence to support any of these. I would argue that pool is unique in that reaction time is not so much of a factor. The balls are static and you can take your time and plan your shot. Defense is just a much of a part of pool as in the other three games, but in a different way. In pool, players take turns at the table. In the other three, both players are at the table simultaneously. In pool, you move all around the table. In the other three, you move back and forth on only half of the table. Pool doesn't really belong in the same category as the others, even though it is a table game. There's much more thinking and forethought involved in pool. Speed can actually be a hindrance. However, hand/eye coordination is required for all of these games. M.D.-BCA Instructor/Referee
